California Health and Safety Code Section 18876.1 and Title 25, Division 1, Chapter 2.3 require every mobilehome park and RV park in the state to have a trained, certified manager on record with HCD.
At least one person employed as a manager — or acting in an on-site or offsite managerial capacity — at each mobilehome park or recreational vehicle (RV) park in California must complete the PMTP training and pass an online examination.
Park managers must be certified by this date, or within one year of their hire date — whichever is later. Non-compliance puts your park’s permit to operate at risk.
A manager who oversees more than one park only needs to complete the training once. We handle the HCD submission for every park they manage — contact us after enrollment for multi-park details.
Every two years, managers must complete 2–4 hours of follow-up training and pass an online examination to maintain their certification. We’ll remind you when it’s time to renew.
